British Enduro Championship Rounds 1 & 2 February 18th/19th, Saints Well

A week after freezing sub zero temperatures at the BESC the weather again produced its worst and greeted riders at rounds 1 & 2 of the BEC with gale force winds, heavy rain and snow. So strong was the wind that during the night it blew away the Midwest Husaberg EZ-UP awnings!

Set in the heart of mid-Wales the event used typical Welsh forestry going and 2 special tests per lap. This would really be a test of both man and machine in the toughest of conditions. In the highly competitive Championship class former World Enduro Champion, David Knight, used all his strength and experience to win both days. But behind Knight a close battle between local rider and former British Enduro Champion, Tom Sagar, and Midwest Husaberg UK rider Alex Rockwell.

Danny McCanney and Rockwell battled it out for the final podium position overall. After constantly swapping positions on special tests throughout the weekend Rockwell finished with 4th overall. Pleased with 2 strong performances at a really tough event Alex Rockwell was also 2nd in class on both days.
